On Wednesday, the Indian Consul General Mohit Yadav and Sabine Dittmar, Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Minister of Health, as well as Kurt Treumann, representing the Würzburg-Schweinfurt Chamber of Commerce and Industry, visited JOPP.
The aim of the delegation was to get to know companies that have established or want to establish branches in India. To this end, the visitors exchanged information about JOPP's plans in India.
For JOPP, the Indian market is of strategic importance, as the market is growing rapidly and there is a strong demand for JOPP products. The Bad Neustadt-based automotive supplier JOPP has maintained intensive contacts with suppliers and customers on the Indian subcontinent for more than 15 years. JOPP Managing Director, Martin Büchs, informed those present that JOPP and the India-based LUMAX Group had launched a strategic cooperation in the form of a joint venture in 2019. LUMAX, like JOPP, is also a family-owned company and employs 12,000 people at 37 locations across the Indian subcontinent. The owner of LUMAX was most recently president of ACMA, the association of automotive supply companies in India.
JOPP was very pleased with the success of the subsidiary, as it succeeded in acquiring numerous Indian customers such as Maruti Suzuki India Limited, Mahindra and TATA in a short time. "High double-digit growth rates are possible in this dynamic market," explained Martin Büchs. JOPP Managing Director Richard Diem, together with a team from development, presented the solutions currently being developed for applications in the Indian market.
