Smart Grid Project at JOPP

In January 2013, JOPP started the Europe-wide and unique company smart grid project, the purpose of which is to reduce electricity consumption peaks in the company through the discharging of e-car vehicle batteries.

In cooperation with the Technology Transfer Centre (TTZ), the powerbox was developed which enables charging and discharging of vehicles.

Five e-cars were bought for the test run. Project duration is until October 2016.
