Technology

Sintering

Dorst_Sinterpresse

We produce powder metal parts up to a projected area of 180 mm diameter and 50 mm height. Sintering technology supplies the technologies offered by complex sintered parts with a press force up to 250 t. Depending on the respective requirements, mechanical, hydraulic and multi-axis CNC-machines are used. The own tool production by JOPP guarantees quality and increases flexibility in meeting the customer’s demands.

Turning

Automaten

Small lots are produced on CNC-bar lathes. Single-spindle machines with five axes and two-spindle machines with six axes are available. As it does not always meet the economic aspect to work a piece in one operation, JOPP uses SPC-controlled revolving machining centers with up to twelve machining stations. For smaller lots, CNC-machining centers with up to five CNC-axes are available. Turning parts with particularly narrow tolerances are finished on JOPP high precision lathes with hard turning being a standard technology. Six- and eight-spindle turning lathes with mechanical or electronic control produce precision parts from steel of aluminum in medium or large lots.

Grinding

In most cases, centerless grinding in combination with the technologies described makes it possible to supply parts ready for assembly.

Deburring

In addition to our varied possibilities of mechanical deburring, treatments like electrochemical deburring ECM, explosion deburring TEM and slide-grinding are used.

On high-precision machining centres,
complex component geometries are
machined in up to 5 spindles
sequentially (e.g. milling,drilling,
taping, sagging, rubbing) in multi-
clamping devices. By using a calliper,
it can be analysed during process and
so a process-sure production be
ensured. Furthermore, the accurate
clamping of the parts is monitored
via air sensoring. A high-precision
and efficient production of small to
high volumes is guaranteed with this.

Revolving Machining Centers

In order to realise short cycle times,
Jopp imploys SPS-controlled rotating
machining centres for the production
of medium and high volumes. Simul-
taneously on 11 working stations,
there can be imployed up to 3 machining
units each. Depending on demand,
operating processes like drilling,
rubbing, sagging, taping, skimming,
milling, deburring in all levels, also
with CNC units, are carried out.
