Short Representation of JOPP

JOPP was founded in 1919 by Theodor JOPP and therefore is one of the oldest industrial enterprises in Bad Neustadt. Initially, the company produced bycicle parts. In the 50ies, JOPP shifted its production mainly to components for the automotive industry and their suppliers as well as for the engineering and electrical industry. All parts are produced according to customers’ drawings.

Today, as a supplier of parts and systems, JOPP has become one of the biggest and most powerful companies within its line of business. With currently 600 employees, a yearly turnover of € 50 Million is obtained.

JOPP is manufacturer of systems and components for the automotive and other industries. Its development department operates with highly sophisticated equipment. Inspection machines of its own production are used in the assembling department. All components and systems are developed by well-experienced engineers and technicians, especially trained for the automotive industry.

The latest process equipment like 3D-solid modelling, finite elements analysis (FEM), stereo-lithographics for sample production and online-mode CAD-file-transfer is used. The well-equipped sample production department guarantees shortest periods in development.

JOPP also produces turned parts on mechanically or numerically controlled single-spindle and multi-spindle lathes as well as on rotary table machining centers. Powder metal parts are manufactured on mechanically or numerically controlled sinter presses up to 250 t pressing force.

JOPP operates in a market niche which is defined as follows:

  • small up to middle sized and large batches
  • complex, high-precision products
  • parts which cannot be completely manufactured on one machine
  • substitution possibilities of turned parts by sintered parts
  • advice of customers in production technique and value analysis with the aim to attain a price reduction of the products.

According to the motto “everybody’s machine is nobody’s machine”, JOPP designs and produces its own production facilities and inspection equipment. Especially, the own-designed rotary table machining centers can be applied to produce a great variety of different pieces by changing modules.

The quality management system of JOPP is based upon the directions TS 16949 and ISO 9001. During numerous audits by the customers, JOPP has achieved many A-classifications in the past. In 1998, the quality system was certified according to QS 9000, VDA 6.1 and ISO 9001. For the extensive quality assurance, a CAQ-system was installed
